1. Welcome to FITGYAL

FITGYAL is a safe, supportive, and empowering fitness community built for everyone who wants to level up their health and wellness journey. We believe in lifting each other up, celebrating every win (big or small), and creating a space where all FitGyals feel welcome, seen, and motivated.

These Community Guidelines exist to keep our platform positive and inclusive. By using FITGYAL, you agree to follow these guidelines. They apply to all content you create, share, or interact with on FITGYAL — including posts, comments, messages, profile information, images, and videos.

We ask every member to read these guidelines carefully and help us maintain the community we all deserve.

2. Be Respectful

Treat every member of the FITGYAL community with kindness and respect. We are a diverse community of people from all backgrounds, fitness levels, and walks of life.

The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Harassment: Targeting individuals with repeated unwanted contact, insults, or hostile behavior;
  • Bullying: Deliberately humiliating, shaming, or degrading someone, including body shaming;
  • Intimidation: Threatening or coercing others into silence or compliance;
  • Discrimination: Treating someone unfairly or hostilely based on race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, national origin, or any other protected characteristic.

Remember: you can disagree with someone without being disrespectful. Constructive feedback is welcome; personal attacks are not.

3. No Spam or Scams

FITGYAL is a community for genuine connection and fitness motivation, not a marketplace for unsolicited promotions.

The following are not allowed:

  • Unsolicited promotional messages, advertisements, or solicitations;
  • Pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing (MLM) promotions, or “get rich quick” schemes;
  • Fake or misleading product endorsements;
  • Phishing links or attempts to steal personal information;
  • Repetitive, low-quality, or bot-generated content;
  • Posting the same content repeatedly across different areas of the platform;
  • Fake giveaways, sweepstakes, or contests not authorized by FITGYAL.

4. Keep It Appropriate

FITGYAL is used by people of all ages (13+). All content must be appropriate for a general audience.

The following content is strictly prohibited:

  • Nudity: Full or partial nudity, including censored nudity with suggestive intent;
  • Sexually explicit content: Pornographic material, sexual acts, or sexually suggestive poses and descriptions;
  • Graphic violence: Images, videos, or descriptions of extreme violence, gore, or mutilation;
  • Disturbing content: Content designed to shock, disgust, or cause emotional distress.

Fitness content showing bodies in workout attire (sports bras, shorts, gym wear) is perfectly acceptable. Use good judgment — if you would not show it to a classroom of teenagers, it probably does not belong here.

5. No Hate Speech

FITGYAL has a zero tolerance policy for hate speech.

Hate speech is any content that attacks, demeans, or incites violence or hatred against individuals or groups based on protected characteristics including but not limited to race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or immigration status.

This includes:

  • Racial, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, or other slurs;
  • Derogatory language targeting any group;
  • Content promoting or glorifying violence against any group;
  • Symbols, imagery, or references associated with hate groups;
  • Dehumanizing language or comparisons;
  • Denial of well-documented atrocities or hate crimes.

Hate speech will result in immediate content removal and may lead to permanent account termination without warning.

6. Protect Privacy

Everyone deserves to control their own personal information. Respect the privacy of others in the FITGYAL community.

Do not:

  • Share someone else’s personal information (phone number, address, email, workplace, school) without their explicit consent;
  • Post photos or videos of others without their permission;
  • Screenshot and share private messages or conversations without consent;
  • Attempt to identify anonymous users or reveal their real identities;
  • Stalk, track, or monitor another user’s activity across or outside the platform.

If you believe your personal information has been shared without your consent, report it immediately and we will take swift action.

7. No Dangerous Content

As a fitness community, we have a special responsibility to promote healthy, safe practices. Your content can influence others — please use that influence responsibly.

The following content is strictly prohibited:

  • Eating disorders: Content that promotes, glorifies, or provides instructions for anorexia, bulimia, or other eating disorders (e.g., “pro-ana,” “pro-mia,” or “thinspo” content);
  • Dangerous diets: Promoting extreme caloric restriction, starvation diets, or any diet that could cause serious harm;
  • Harmful supplements: Promoting unregulated, banned, or dangerous supplements, drugs, or substances for fitness or weight loss;
  • Unsafe workout practices: Encouraging exercises or techniques that pose a serious risk of injury, especially without proper instruction or safety disclaimers;
  • Self-harm: Content that promotes, glorifies, or instructs on self-harm or suicide;
  • Dangerous challenges: Promoting viral challenges or stunts that could result in injury or death.

If you or someone you know is struggling with an eating disorder or self-harm, please reach out to the National Eating Disorders Association (1-800-931-2237) or the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (dial 988).

8. Respect Intellectual Property

Only share content that you have the right to share. Respect the creative work of others.

Do not:

  • Repost someone else’s photos, videos, or written content without proper credit or permission;
  • Use copyrighted music in your posts or videos without a license;
  • Copy or imitate another creator’s brand, logo, or visual identity;
  • Claim someone else’s workout routines, meal plans, or fitness programs as your own;
  • Use FITGYAL’s name, logo, or brand assets without written permission.

If you believe your intellectual property has been infringed, contact us at support@fitgyal.us with details of the infringement.

9. Honest Interactions

Authenticity is at the heart of the FITGYAL community. Be real, be honest, and be yourself.

The following are not allowed:

  • Fake accounts: Creating multiple accounts, bot accounts, or accounts with false information to manipulate the platform;
  • Impersonation: Pretending to be someone else, including other users, public figures, brands, or FITGYAL staff;
  • Misleading claims: Making false or exaggerated claims about fitness results, product effectiveness, or professional qualifications;
  • Fake engagement: Artificially inflating followers, likes, reactions, or other engagement metrics through bots, paid services, or coordinated inauthentic behavior;
  • FitCoin manipulation: Exploiting bugs, using automation, or any other method to unfairly earn or inflate FitCoins.

10. Reporting Violations

If you see content or behavior that violates these Community Guidelines, please report it. Your reports help us keep FITGYAL safe for everyone.

How to report:

  • In-app reporting: Tap the three-dot menu (…) on any post, comment, or profile and select “Report”;
  • Email: Send a detailed report to support@fitgyal.us with screenshots and relevant details;
  • Emergency situations: If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services (911 in the US) before reporting to FITGYAL.

What happens when you report:

  • All reports are reviewed by our moderation team, typically within 24 hours;
  • The reported user is not notified of who made the report;
  • If a violation is confirmed, we will take appropriate action (content removal, warning, or account suspension);
  • In cases of illegal activity, we may report the matter to law enforcement;
  • Repeat offenders face escalated consequences, up to and including permanent bans.

Please do not abuse the reporting system. Filing false or malicious reports may result in action against your account.

11. Enforcement

We take violations of these Community Guidelines seriously and enforce them consistently. Our enforcement process is graduated, though severe violations may warrant immediate action.

Enforcement levels:

  • Level 1 — Warning: First-time or minor violations result in content removal and a written warning explaining the violation. Your account remains active;
  • Level 2 — Temporary Suspension: Repeated violations or more serious offenses result in a temporary suspension (typically 7–30 days). During suspension, you cannot post, comment, or message other users;
  • Level 3 — Permanent Ban: Continued violations after suspension, or a single severe violation (hate speech, threats, CSAM, doxxing), result in permanent account termination with no appeal. All FitCoins and subscription benefits are forfeited.

FITGYAL reserves the right to skip enforcement levels for severe violations and to take immediate action when necessary to protect the safety of our community. Our decisions regarding content moderation and enforcement are final.

12. EULA Summary

By using FITGYAL, you agree to the following key points from our Terms of Service & EULA:

  • Content license: When you post content on FITGYAL, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote that content in connection with the Service;
  • Content ownership: You retain ownership of your content. FITGYAL does not claim ownership of your posts, photos, or videos;
  • Content removal: FITGYAL may remove any content that violates these Community Guidelines, our Terms of Service, or our Acceptable Use Policy, at our sole discretion;
  • Account termination: Accounts that repeatedly or severely violate these guidelines may be terminated, resulting in forfeiture of all FitCoins, subscription benefits, and access to the Service;
  • User responsibility: You are solely responsible for the content you post and the interactions you have on FITGYAL.
